We are excited to share with you some pictures from the a time capsule that Kier, our builders have delicately removed from inside the walls at St Philips. In 1896 the, then Parish Church Council and Church Family were raising funds to “enlarge” the church and on 15th July they laid the foundation stone. Take a look at some of the treasures we have found.

St Philip’s Church is dedicated to offer services to the whole community. It will not be only a place of worship but somewhere useful, pleasant and happy for all of our community.
We have long since supported and made welcome all members of our community, young and old and our plan is to continue this by creating safe spaces for our younger members of the community with the Youth Space and amenities for uniformed organisations such as Brownies, not to mention our Creche Facility, and indoor sports facilities. For the Older members of our Community we will host our Friendship Club, Christian Aid Lunches, Dementia Friendly Coffee Mornings and for those in between Parent & Baby Groups and a drop in café for fellowship.
The new centre will build on this by ensuring that we not only continue these activities but provide meeting and office spaces for businesses. We will have space for concerts, wedding receptions, indoor sports and so much more.
It’s so important to us that you have your say.
We want to know what you want and what you think.
We want to include you in this centre and make it somewhere you will use and enjoy.
Please join us by sending us a message and letting us know what you would like.
